Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Conroe

The drainfield is where treated effluent from the tank soaks back into the soil, and it is the part of the system that does the real work. Why the Field Size Is Set by the Soil

Two lots the same size can need very different fields. Ground that drains slowly, like the heavier soil toward Cut and Shoot, needs more absorption area, and a lot with a high water table near 77306 may need an elevated mound so there is enough vertical separation to groundwater. We measure the perc rate first and build to what the soil and the county permit require, not to a template.

Our Process

We confirm the soil profile, lay out the laterals off a level distribution box, and excavate the trenches to grade. We place the washed gravel or the chamber units, cover them with geotextile fabric, and backfill so the field sheds surface water. For failing fields we can often add capacity or convert to a chamber system rather than start over.
